About
Open to everyone. Not just developers.
AI is changing how we build software. From planning and writing code to testing, reviewing pull requests, and deploying, many of us have already made AI part of our daily workflows.
But beyond the tools, demos, and methodologies, there's a question worth exploring:
How are we actually working with AI today?
Anthropic recently published The AI-native SDLC Playbook, exploring how AI can participate across the entire software development lifecycle.
Building on our community's first online session, we want to take the conversation a step further. This time, we're coming together to create something tangible: a shared picture of how people and teams in Cebu's tech community are actually working with AI.
Not how we're supposed to work. Not what a playbook tells us to do. But what we're doing today, what's working, what's not, and what we can learn from one another.
Here's what we'll do
1. Getting to know the AI-native SDLC
We'll start with a brief introduction to the AI-native software development lifecycle, walk through the key ideas from Anthropic's playbook, and discuss what they might mean for the way we work.
2. A real-world example: How Dorell builds and ships features for Cebby
A walkthrough of an actual AI-assisted development workflow, from capturing ideas in GitHub issues and planning with Claude to building features, automated code reviews with Codex, browser testing, and deployment.
We'll look at the tools, the process, and, importantly, where human judgment still comes in.
3. Let's map our own workflows, together!
This is where everyone gets involved.
We'll open a shared Excalidraw board with starter templates you can pick up and customize.
Whether you're working solo or with a team, you'll map out your current workflow: the steps you follow, the AI tools you use, the decisions you make, the human involvement, and everything in between.
It doesn't have to be perfect or sophisticated. We're interested in how you actually work, even if you're still figuring things out.
4. Share, compare, and learn
We'll invite a few participants to walk us through what they've mapped.
What works well? What are the challenges? What have you learned along the way? What would you do differently?
The goal isn't to decide whose workflow is better. It's to discover approaches, perspectives, and ideas we might not have considered before.
5. Turn what we learned into something worth sharing
We don't want the conversation to end when the session does.
Together, we'll capture the interesting patterns, differences, lessons, questions, and ideas that emerge from our discussions.
We'll turn these into a community blog post, documenting what we learned and making it available for others to explore.
And because contributions deserve recognition, everyone who contributes will be credited by name, unless they prefer to opt out.
It's a chance to share what you know, learn from others, and put your name alongside something meaningful for the community.
Who should join?
Anyone curious about how AI is changing the way we work.
Developers, QA engineers, designers, product managers, tech leads, founders, students, and anyone experimenting with AI in their day-to-day work are welcome.
You don't need to be an AI expert, have an impressive workflow, or even use AI extensively. Your experiences, questions, and perspectives are all valuable.
What you'll need
A laptop and a browser
No Excalidraw account required
A little curiosity and a willingness to share
One last thing
This isn't a workshop about following Anthropic's methodology, promoting a particular AI tool, or finding the one best way to work with AI.
It's an opportunity to learn from one another, reflect on how our ways of working are changing, and discover what's possible when we share our experiences openly.
Come as you are, bring your experiences, and let's map out how we work with AI, together.
